Gujarat on High Alert

Pakistan has shared intelligence report that a possible strike would be carried out in parts of Gujarat by 10 terrorists particularly Lashkar-E-Taiba and Jaish-e-Muhammed’s suicide bombers. Security measures have been tightened in the sensitive areas and have been put in high alert. “Gujarat police is on alert. Guj government had asked Centre for NSG teams and the teams have arrived in the state,” Patel added following the arrival of two NSG (National Security Guard) squads in the state.

An abandoned boat was found by a BSF patrolling team off Koteshwar coast in Kutch on Friday.

Important monuments and pilgrimage centres like Somnath temple, Dwarka Temple, Akashardham, dams like Sardar Sarovar Dam and security establishments have also been put on alert.
