Almost a year ago, Amitabh Bachchan took to the streets of Kolkata on a bicycle for Shoojit Sircar’s film Piku. But this time around, the megastar has some company and a new mode of transport. The 73-year-old was seen riding a scooter with actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a pillion in the City of Joy. The two were clicked while shooting for Ribhu Dasgupta’s TE3N.
Big B took to Twitter to share the pictures from his day of shoot. Clad in a check shirt and brown trousers, the actor plays a common man who is on a lookout for a job.
The Piku actor also shared the experience on his personal blog and mentioned the various places he travelled in Kolkata to shoot for the sequence. He wrote, “So we travelled in one pair of jacket and pant to search for jobs in this city, moving from Tollygunj to the Esplanade in the wonderful Tram service .. at times hanging out of the doors for lack of space .. but somehow enjoying the experience of the first struggle”.
Their final destination was Victoria Memorial, where the two actors gorged on paani puri orphuchkas. Big B shared some more pictures on his Facebook account. He wrote, “Bahut samay baad , Kalkotta ki sadak par scooter chalaya .. itni saari yadeein saamne aa gayein“.
This is for the first time that Amitabh will share screen space with Nawazuddin. TE3N is produced by Sujoy Ghosh and the film also stars Vidya Balan.
