Roses and Follies
So what have you grabbed at the end of your game?
Few numbers that you goofed.
More lipsticks that you smashed.
A lot fools whom you bluffed.
So what have you sung at the end of your show?
Sick songs that you ditched.
Stripped words that you ornamented.
A dozen thunders that you wracked.
Hundred names beneath your vanity shiver loud your evil.
Thousand cries across your jest shout vehement your ugly.
Deeper wheezes down your pride lament smooth your failure.
And yet,
What roads have you trodden at the end of your night?
Poor journeys that you set.
Pitied chapters that you closed.
Ashamed humanity that you campaigned.
