STORY: Biswanath Majumdar (Soumitra Chatterjee), after 49 years of marriage with his wife Aarti (Swatilekha Sengupta) determines to secede by divorcing her while he proclaims his verdict before the family members, that includes his son, daughter-in-law, three daughters and son-in laws along with their children. It directs to a poignant innovation of love in marriage.
REVIEW: Belaseshe with a simple storyline justified the value of love and relationship after marriage. The significance of marriage is clearly demonstrated and displayed through all the characters of different generations. Belaseshe astounded me for hours after moving out of the theatre with the reverberation and the reflection generated by the pair separating after 49 years and the treatment, the duo directors exercised to unearth the love between them and explain the aspects behind the hindrances in modern–day marriages through the other married couples in the movie. The film might motivate people to put right their relationships on the margin of getting relapsed.
The powerful screenplay with brilliant performances will easily connect each and every audiences while it has the supremacy to control the viewer’s emotions by either making them smile, giggle, annoyed or shed tears with the rousing dialogues delivered in a simple way. Talking about the technical aspects of the film, there is no such extraordinary camera work but had some good music with a brilliant direction. Even, the background score complements the visuals very well.
Soumitra Chatterjee as Biswanath Majumdar has an elegant presence and Swatilekha Sengupta as a home-maker is inevitable to win the hearts of the people with her marvelous acting. Kharaj Mukherjee and Aparajita with their humorous and amusing charisma accomplished to entertain and make people laugh even at tough times, showcased in the film. Each and every actor did justice to their character. There is basically no error or jerk throughout the film. Everything is flawless.
With a perfect script for not any ground-breaking perception, Belaseshe will educate you the importance of relationship in a pioneering way. So, it is an ideal film to watch with your family and your love and fall in love again and again with your near and dear ones.
