“033 Café”

Visiting a cafe sometimes is a good recreation. Though I’m no coffee snob but I do like latte and if I don’t find one I tend to move on. Few days back I popped into a café just next to South City College named “033 Café”. One of the owner greeted me in a friendly manner, gave me some personal attention and showed me to a table. There were also others sitting around. The music was the kind of stuff I like to listen to. The whole vibe was a lot more on my level.

  • AMBIENCE

The main eye catching thing which I found over there is their idea of setting up the décor of the wall in a garage with amazing white wallpapers which add on contrast to the colourful and a totally different kind of a table setup. In this café you will find one more special thing which acts like cherry on the cake is their lights. The owners have invested their time to create a new kind of light setup using pipes and  giving a shape to it. They didn’t use any kind of fancy lampshades or light holders but what they did  is really amazing.

  • NAME

While I was there I managed to have some words with one of the owner of the café Mr.Ranajit Dey who is a very humble, down to earth and a young owner. According to him , the reason behind keeping  “033 Café” as a name was that they wanted to connect with the people as we all know the calling code of West Bengal is “033”. They tried to  create a communication essence with the people who would step in. There is a trio pillar that gave birth to this café : 1) Mr.Bishan Mukherjee who is a IIM passed out CEO of a baby food company named SINCOM, 2) Miss Madhurima Saha who is a designer and 3) Mr.Ranajit Dey who is a management degree holder. They are friends before business partners. These three executed such a concept of making up a café  which came into action since last year and started from this year July 25th . They launched their own brand on shakes which is SHAKESPURE. They have new kind of menu card which looks exactly like a telephone diary which connects with the name of the café and it is very easy to understand which guides you straight to the page of the menu which you’re seeking off.
